| 09/09/12 | COMMANDOS 2: DESTINATION PARIS TEAM SITE
Starting from a couple of days ago, I have decided to create a spin-off site dedicated completely to Commandos 2: Destination Paris
modding, the result is Destination Paris Team Project Site. From there you can follow the
latest development news and newest releases that C2: DP Team members are working on.
Through this site we would like to share our work, by letting everybody know what is happening with the mod. We hope to keep the entertainment coming!
While official sources give no clue about any new Commandos game being released (is the series really over?), C5Studios
bring us a new mission for their SINP series called Vertical Limit. Go grab it here!
Under new year the great guys from C5Studios bring us a new mission for their SINP series called Pharaoh's Legacy. Go grab it here!
I wish you all a happy new year and let's hope that this year we get some news for a new possible entry in our beloved series! Happy new Year!
I updated all the multiplayer sections as they were updated and people want to still play these games,
so the inspiration came from the need of the people. Now if anybody has any issues, or better, wants to play online,
just let us know in the forum! GL&HF!
Here we are back again with a COMPLETELY NEW (and soo difficult!),
Map design by 555, mission design by canstay and MA2/SEC made by coralsundy, these guy need no introduction on the scene, they are doing a wonderful
job with SINP and have been one of the breakthrough moddders of the Commandos modding community, we owe them the most of what we have today!
You can take a look at their (umpteenth) wonderful creation here.
As promised the guys from C5Studios have released their 6th mission for Strike In Narrow Path, their Standalone Expansion for Commandos BEL, called Panzer General!
The new mission in the series looks promising enough (take a look at the screenshot here,
I was in awe!) You can download it from the usual page here. Go try it! Have fun people!
Here is the first update for Commandos 2:Destination Paris 1.40 that brings the game to version 1.41.
The main changes are minor fixes in the missions, rebalancements in the Commandos abilities, 5 brand new missions and other small things,
get it here (the 1.41 update includes the save fix so it will be deleted and not hosted anymore).
Next we have the new version of the Strike In Narrow Path gets to v2.3! rush here and get it! SINP MISSION 6 - PANZER GENERAL will be released on April 2,2011!! For all the info you need, be sure to check their wonderfully made site here!
| 22/12/10 | NEW MISSION (MISSION 5) FOR SINP EXPANSION *UPDATED*
C5 Studios have yet released another mission for their BEL ExpansionStrike In Narrow Path, the missions' name is: Surrounded Conflict.
Download it here. IT HAS BEEN UPDATED SO REDOWNLOAD IT IF YOU ALREADY HAVE.
| 16/12/10 | NEW MISSION (MISSION 4) FOR SINP EXPANSION
C5 Studios have released their 4th mission for their BEL ExpansionStrike In Narrow Path, the missions' name is: Where Snow Ends.
Download it here. We have new videos available in the online videos section taken from the rare BONUS DVD from Commandos 3 translated by C5 Studios,
thanks to 3dartpol for the report. check them here.
Only at CommandosHQ can happen things like this, years after the release of the complete game, we release the demo, yes that same famous demo that never officially saw the light.
Almost 10 years after, it is quite interesting to look at how the game could've turned out. It was in a hybrid, transitorial stage between what we had in the first game and what Commandos 2 actually turned out to be.
I think I can say that I would've preferred it the way they started doing it in the demo. Thanks to wyel2000 for providing the download link, Check it out here here.
Added new link for modding sites, check them on the links page!
More mirrors added for DP!
| 30/10/10 | PLAY COMMANDOS 2 MISSIONS ON COMMANDOS 3 IN WIDESCREEN AND STRIKE IN NARROW PATH PROJECT
Now here are some missions from Commandos 2 that you can now play on Commandos 3!! Here's also a widescreen resolution mod that will allow you to play Commandos 3 with a custom resolution:) (read the instructions inside as it will require some manual work)
As it seems, it happened that the first version of DP 1.40 had a problem in loading saved games, that is because of testing purposes I had disabled it and forgot to re-enable it, now it is fixed.
But if you happened to download the mod yesterday, the only thing you have to do to fix it, without redownloading it, is open with your notepad the file parglobal.dat found in your \DATA folder and look for the string
GRABACARGASENCILLO INT 1 and change it's value to 0. Now saves will work. Only missions that will not allow to save are: Training1, Colditz and Paris.
More mirrors added for Destination Paris 1.40 download.
The guys from C5 STUDIOS, that is Coralsundy and 555 are working on the development of the standalone expansion for Commandos BEL called Strike In Narrow Path,
what they released so far is just the beginning of what they want to do, their objective is to create a number of missions that you can play without having Commandos BEL installed!
Here is what we can expect from them:
SINP will become standalone (since the current english version 2.0 still depends on Commandos BEL)
The missions will be:
1~4 - Middle Europe Series;
6~9 - Aleman Desert Series;
11~14,20 - Asia Series;
16~19 - Normandy Islands Series;
Missions 5,10 and 15 are 555's personal maps made by him in 3dsmax in the style of Commandos 2/3;
There are 20 missions plans here, Chinese Version for mission 4 will be put out on November 6~7th, English will be a little bit later
For more news, go take a look at their chinese blog here!
| 28/10/10 | DESTINATION PARIS HAS BEEN UPGRADED TO VERSION 1.40
Soo many news to give you.. don't even know from where to start.. well, let's try it this way: Finally Destination Paris has been
rereleased with a new level of design, a completely different approach in terms of gameplay and most of all, new missions,
including the ones from BTCOD giving you the possibility to replay this beautiful game in a more modern style!
Next, Destination Paris 1.40 also includes some VERSUS multiplayer missions made by Chinese Fans and...
a completely NEW mission in the BEL style. So what are you waiting for? go check it out on it's page here.
The AI mod has been deleted from downloads in the mods section since it is automatically included in DP 1.40.
I have also uploaded the complete BEL mission pack for the people that want to try
2 out of the 20 fully playable missions and, based on what they see and know, if you have the desire, you can remodel those missions and then I will upload them as an
expansion to DP 1.40! (use the new updatedtutorials if needed).
The DP section of the site has been updated accordingly to the new versions' new gameplay style,
be sure to give it a look (here) before starting to play!
In the new version the Commandos 3 Mission Pack is not automatically included since it is not 100% complete (has some graphical unaestheticisms)
but if you want to give it a try, feel free to download it from the addons section here,
where you will also find the Widescreen Mod which will allow all those people that have a widescreen monitor, to use their favourite resolution with the mod!
I have also added the most complete Commandos editing suite that has been made so far (apart from the one Pyro obviously has) made by Rex:
CommDevToolkit_20100426 You can get it here.
The international patch for Commandos 2 has been repacked for 64bit systems and for those who cannot install it for some reasons on new Operating systems (like Windows 7).
Get it here.
There is a community that is making completely new missions for Commandos BEL, check it out here!
For more info on the project, read our forum here!
Also... thanks to Wyel2000 now you can play Commandos BEL missions on Commandos BTCOD and Commandos BTCOD missions on Commandos BEL!! Here is the BEL mission pack for Commandos BTCOD and
here is the BTCOD mission pack for Commandos BEL!;)
And dulcis in fundo, here is a slideshow video made by 3dartpol that goes like a tribute to the Commandos Series, watch it here.
Plus, if you have problems with installing BEL and BTCOD on your modern PC's, you should try installing Microsoft Virtual PC. Follow this step by step guide for Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 & Win98 install written by 3dartpol. This is what he says:"I have tested and did run old commandos games on it and it worked great.
If you have problem to run or install Old Commandos games you can try Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 & Win98 it's the best solution"
I Hope you enjoyed that, see you next time!
So here we are again with some more new mods! The first one is a pack contaning modded missions for Commandos BEL and BTCOD which includes special
multiplayer deathmatch modes! you may find the instructions on how to use it inside the package.
You can get it here.
The other one is a mod from John Koshy which made a nice modification for Commandos 2: Destination Paris1.34 ONLY, you can find all the details
There has been a tool that seems to efficiently do it's job when it comes to slowing down today's powerful cpu's.
You can use it to play Commandos Behind Enemy Lines at normal speed, the only problem is that it seems to slow down save and load times too.
Try it for yourself here.
So we are back, finally Commandos HQ is back on its feet and stable once again! All of the content has been updated, fixed and reworked!
Further more, there are rumours about a new Commandos game in the good old style. While we wait for that, let's get prepared for more modding news to come soon...
(new C2: DP version?) ;-)
Here is the link to the game's page. Good games are never
forgotten! Here and Here you can find two reviews of the game. Keep modding the games! Maybe soon we'll have
new good projects! So far the results are great! you can now play Commandos 2 missions on Commandos 3!! and viceversa!! think about
the multiplayer possibilities! Keep checking our forums for more news!
So here are some nice speedruns made by shencanbulou SJS for Commandos 2 v1.2 and 1.34!
The Jukebox has also been remodelled making the Commandos music much more comfortable to listen to. Now you can simply choose one song and it will loop until you stop
GameRanger got even more interesting! Since games
like Commandos nowadays are niche multiplayer games, it is quite hard to find somebody to play with: sitting in the lobbies waiting for somebody to show up. Not anymore!
GameRanger's new feture allows you to rceive a notification when somebody wants to play a game with you. That's right, no more waiting all day. If you are at home and
want to have a game with somebody, simply leave a message and once somebody gets in, they will be automatially notified!
There seems to be a new project getting form in the Commandos Community, with new map designs and absolutely new missions! For more info, check out our forum.
As promised, here we are again, the everlasting community that clearly loves the series and is keeping you up to date on all what's going on,
basically on the unofficial side of things, since the official one gives us no interesting news so far. Right, lets start with some good new: first of all I want to
thank Scott Kevill for creating an alternative to GameSpy called GameRanger, it
supports a big load of games including our Commandos 2 and 3! Be sure to check it out in our Downloads
section or from the official site. Also some tools in the Downloads section have been updated so check them out!
The other good news is that our Commandos fans are achieving great results in modding everytime something new. Also, take a look here. If you want to know what's happening exactly, be sure to check it out in our Forum Well and last but not less important, as the title of these news says: the holidays are right behind the door! Merry Christmas and a
Happy New Year to all of you!
Ok, so here are two more things that we have found out were "not ok": first thing is, some people reported the first game of the series had
problems with saving-loading, you could try this fix, I haven't tried it personally, but if it exists, maybe it works: Save/Load Fix. Second, I found that there was a bug in the italian translation with mission 7 in Commandos DP. Please replace the
bugged file with this one.
This is a confirmation of our last news post, dated almost a year ago. This site hasn't died, on the contrary, it has become even more complete!
Check for yourself: All browsing compatibility issues have been fixed, now Opera and Firefox support fully Commandos HQ! A new tool has been added: it will allow you to extract all the files you want from the .pck packages. Our forum has been renewed and
updated. All signs that the communtiy is still alive and ready to go into battle, maybe with a new Commandos Story...
Yes, there's another mod made for Commandos 3 that is available for download! That's what we mean that our favourite games never die: Unmatched
Support! Go check it here. To read the readme file you will need a program that can open .pdf files. The most known
program for doing so is Acrobat Reader, but you can download an exellent one from our site, it's called Foxit Reader, check it out here.
As you can well see up here, a new jukebox has been created for you to use. While navigating our site you can listen to your favourite songs
extracted from your favourite games: Commandos 2 and Commandos 3! If you want to buy the full soundtracks, try to give a look here for Commandos 2 and here for Commandos 3. But presently they are quite hard to find just about anywhere, shame...
Well then, here it is:
A fresh new forum which is not only better looking and all, but also supports a new feature for file uploading!
This means that if you have any files you want to share with us, yo can do it freely! Go check the new forum here.
There has been a lot of work going on for the site lately. The sections missing are being filled as we move on. Some images are still missing but
they will be added soon (they're in the making, for the taking). So far the first Commandos Games have all the sections completed, finally I need to add (apart from some
images but that's relative). Commandos Strike Force has had a lot new entries these days, starting from the 2 new patches which you can get here along with a new No-Intro Patch made by ss786. Then you get the cheats page full of new cheats and 2 trainers both made, once again, by ss786. The CSF
Interface also has been completed, places whre to buy this game have been added, not to mention all the online reviews available in the appropriate section, plus some
updates here and there. New videos have been added in the downloads section which bring you a new Video Review of CSF made by GameTrailers.com (Check it out here). Also added new Wallpapers and the Official Screensaver for CSF. Well, that's it for now, keep in touch for new goodies on this wonderful
Well then, here's what's been added: some missing images replaced (here and there), new CSF Screenshots and Artwork, Cheats for C2:DP have been
completed (finally you might say), Adjusted and Completed the Multiplayer Tutorials (especially C2) and... added a new Bonus for DP to download! Go check it here. It's a new Rock Theme for the Main Menu, creepy but charges to the right point!
As you all might know by now, a demo has been released for Commandos Strike Force (and probably, when you will be reading this, the game will also
have been released). It allows you to experience the game from the three possible points of view and succeed in two (of the many)
possible situations. We wish you luck soldiers! You can find the demo here.
For the new trailers, go here.
There are a few reviews out there already, although you won't find any on the net yet, since only some magazines have bought the exclusive license
to review it now and it's still "in the making" for almost everybody.
So far, the game has been reviewed here in Italy with an average 7.5/10.
It ain't bad but it ain't top neither, let's hope it'll be the lowest mark CSF will get. Here is a new video (supposedly the intro or something related to it), check it out and tell us what you
| 04/02/06 | COMMANDOS STRIKE FORCE
Here's a new (Great in my opinion) video illustrating the killing techiques
available in CSF
Check it out and don't deny that it looks pretty catchy.
By watching it I was hoping that it would show a special feature found in Sniper Elite and... it seemingly did.
More news on CSF!:
There are going to be two possible views:
1st person view and 3rd person view. In 1st person mode you will play the game while in 3rd person mode you will be allowed only to view the situation and you will not
be able to do anything (remember BIA?).
Missions will be based on the collaboration between two of the three men (you will never have all three Commandos in one mission, although there will be missions where
you will have only one Commando to use.
There will be also allies (like the ones in CoD 2) that will fight along with you. You will not be able to give them orders so that could turn out a bit uneasy
(especially if you must prevent them from dying).
Don't forget to check the 2 new trailers (GB and Sniper) here.
A guy named Stalinfranco has made a new mod for Commandos 2. You will find it interesting just to give it a look. But if you actually set yourself
to play it, be ready, it will be a nice challenge. Find detailed info Here.
Oh and by the way, Happy New Year! Let this year of the dog be as loyal to us as it's meant to be!
Commandos Strike Force has been moved to Winter 2006. That is From January to March.
This is because EIDOS decided to take in help from Quazal with the use of Net-Z technology in the multiplayer development of CSF.
Pyro developers have announced that, thanks to Quazal's support, the team managed to concentrate more on the most important part of the developing process: the
As you might have noticed, Commandos HQ was down because it got deleted.
But now, it is going to be recreated (once more) and is not going down anymore.
For now only the main page will be available, but soon everything will get back to normal.
It's been a long work but the hotkeys for Commandos 2 have been finished.
This site has an objective to reach: Be THE final source for ALL Commandos fans.
So even if some games of the series are old, you will find full support to EACH one, no exclusions.
Commandos Strike Force has been scheduled in 2006.
That is because of the big (and possibly lethal) concurrency products that will be coming out in the Christmas period.
We don't consider that disappointing since, on the other hand, this means a better game, less bugs and maybe, time to study and implement more features.
C3Zone's pages have been all (finally) transferred. When downloading, you might see that the links still show to C3Zone but,
that is because those files are quite big and it has no sense to transfer them since CHQ is just the phoenix of C3Zone.
Most of the files have been updated (some patches in the files downloads section have been rechecked).
There still remain some empty pages but, those will be filled in time due.
If you find any errors or if you have any suggestions, files or (why not) critics (hopefully constructive),
don't hesitate to contact and tell us, either on the forum or by e-mail, thank you.
Hope you enjoy your stay ;)
As you might have noticed, some pages are still empty or inacessible.
That is because the transferring from C3Zone is still in progress (you won't believe HOW much work there is to do).
So I want to ask you to be a little bit patient because the wait is well worth it.
You will find (and already can!) some exclusive stuff that no other sites have,
or maybe a few have but you might never thought of their existence or they are simply hard to find.
You can also fulfill your dreams with playing Commandos BEL and BTCOD over the internet (yes, there IS a way),
of course, if those people still exist :-)
| 05/09/05 | COMMANDOS C3ZONE IS REBORN UNDER A NEW NAME: COMMANDOS HQ
At last here it is. C3Zone has been repeteadly hacked and Swordfish disappeared into thin air (!).
This made the hackers (whoever they were) achieve their results, no more concurrency.
But now, C3Zone has been taken to it's feet once again and we will continue the mission Swordfish left:
keep you informed on the Commandos games series and on Pyro's future projects.
Also, the forum has been recreated, you can access it Here, have fun and good luck!
